You Just Have to Laugh…”Fake News”?

Fake news… We’re hearing all about it. A famous world religious leader recently instructed his followers that it is a sin to spread “fake news”. Is that so? Where was this man over the past few years? The mainstream news media, otherwise known as the “MSM”, while shamelessly  promoting its New World Order agenda,  has been disseminating fake news for quite some time. Is that a sin? I’d say so.

Let’s put things into perspective. Besides one man’s opinion, what related principle would square with our Judeo-Christian ethics on the matter? “Thou shalt not bear false witness..”? Yes! Another example can also be found in Jewish tradition. According to Leviticus 19:16, one is not to engage in tale bearing. Leviticus 29:17 also warns us against harming one another. With those two Scriptures in mind, individuals who practice Mitzvah avoid committing a particularly serious sin known as “lashon ha ra”. Translated into the  English language, lashon ha ra can best be defined as the evil tongue. This sin occurs when someone chooses to speak evil of another. According to traditional interpretations, such a sin is committed even if the disseminated information happens to be true. That being said, due to the grave nature of specific details, a fact that needs to be revealed because its suppression would harm others would be an exception to such a prohibition. Therein lies the rub. Discernment is in order, and perhaps even more importantly, accountability!

Why were so many Hillary supporters surprised, and shocked to the point of tears, upon learning the results from the 2016 Presidential Election? Who is the MSM to lecture us about “Fake News”? The fake news propagated by MSM was harmful during this past election season, and such harmful transgressions seem to be on the increase with each new election cycle. Yes, we are tired of fake news! Wouldn’t it be nice if we turned on the nightly news programs and actually received accurate information about newsworthy world events? Shouldn’t we expect to receive important information without the political spin? Indeed, according to accepted journalistic ethics, the news is to be disseminated in a fair and balanced manner,  without prejudice.

The American “MSM”, which blatantly and consistently slanders and defames those who don’t share its political ideology, needs to clean up its own collective act. The various MSM outlets seem to be the only ones disseminating fake news these days, and they obviously need to be discouraged from doing so. Thanks to the advent of the alternative media, the American citizens are finally awakening from their slumber, and have become weary of the propaganda. Most informed Americans don’t believe a word reported by the MSM hacks. Beware also of self-serving politicians who would legislate in favor of violation of the First Amendment as a power grab. The right to freedom of speech is pivotal to a free and open society.

Thankfully, we are witnessing the day of the citizen journalist! If you have ever had a desire to cover the real news, take a journalism class. Start a Blog or Video Blog. Really! You can do it. Now is the time! I know that I’ve mentioned this before, but the American public needs you! Poynter’s News University offers on-line courses. Some are free, and some have a fee, but many of the fees are very reasonable. Your local college may include enough courses to get you started. Coursera also offers journalism classes which can be audited without cost, as well as those classes offered for a fee, in which you can earn a certificate of completion.

Some Random Thoughts….

Recently, I celebrated a rather momentous birthday. (Should I really say celebrate?) In any case, it is official. I am old. In light of that rather humbling reality check, I thought it appropriate to share some words of wisdom that I have accumulated over the years. Suffice it to say, such words of wisdom are not my own, but originate from a very reliable Source, the Word of God. I have found these precepts to be only too true, as well as always timely and relevant, so think that they bear repeating.

• God’s Word is a lamp for our feet and a light for our path. (Psalm 119:105) Read and memorize the Word, both Old and New Testaments. They tell the same beautiful story. Everything points to JESUS.
• YHWH is Salvation. JESUS is the Word made flesh. Follow Him. Do what He says. (John 1:14)
• “Man is like a breath.” His days are like a shadow that passes away.” (Psalm 144:4) Time is short. Make good use of it.
• Speak the truth in love. (Ephesians 4:15) You will always be discouraged from practicing this particular discipline. More often than not, you will be told to sit down and shut up. Resist the temptation to do so.
• “..Be courageous, be strong,..” (Corinthians 16:13) Pray for more courage and faith, as you’ll need it.

• “The world will hate you.”(John 15:20, 25 ) Don’t be surprised if the ones who hate you are called Brethren by the way, as Jesus was persecuted by those who should have embraced Him.
• “Walk by the Spirit.” “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.” (Galatians 5:16, Romans 8:14, John 16:13) HE will lead you into all truth, so be encouraged!
• “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness but instead, expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11 ESV) For some reason, this pertinent exhortation doesn’t seem to get much attention these days.
• A “one world” anything is always a bad idea. Jesus is the only One Who will ever be able to pull that one off, so be patient, He is coming back. Consider the Tower of Babel, or for that matter, the United Nations. How could it possibly be expedient to promote peace without the Prince of Peace? Avoid that trap. We are instructed not to yoke ourselves with unbelievers, and with good reason. (Genesis 11:1-9, 2Corinthians 6:14)
• “Pray without ceasing”. ( 1 Thessalonians 1:17, James 5:16) Prayer is powerful. Do it often.
• Always be about your Father’s business. (Luke 2:49) If you follow this model, how could you go wrong!

Is Genuine Journalism Dead?

This subject is a bit off topic for me, but important nonetheless. Salt and light. Yes, according to Jesus, we are to be salt and light. Perhaps we’d better think about being salt and light prior to deciding which nightly newscast to watch. Yes, we can make a difference!

In the interest of transparency, I would like to mention that I have been auditing a Journalism class, as of late. (For those unfamiliar with the term “auditing”, it means that I would prefer not to pay for the class, but thankfully, still have access to the course content.) In light of the 2016 election season, last week’s class material has haunted me a great deal. Did you know that journalists have a specific code of ethics that virtually none of the national news media outlets appear to follow? Oh yes, indeed! Between the broadcast writers and their on-air counterparts, what currently is presented as news, is in fact, political punditry.

What if the “salt and light” people held so-called journalists accountable, and insisted that they hold to their professional code of ethics? What if we insisted that such news outlets inform by disseminating actual newsworthy events?  What if we turned off mainstream news broadcasts until they complied with prescribed ethical conduct? Just food for thought.

Lately, we have heard of politicians who have decried the existence of the Alt-Right Media. Thank goodness for the Alt-Right Media! It is sad to say, but these so-called renegades may be the only ones giving us the news these days. Make no mistake about it, the revelation of such truths are abhorred by those who gain and retain power by stealth.

Let me share a little bit of what I’ve learned, and perhaps you will agree. Something has gone terribly wrong with journalism over the last decade or two, and it all smacks of what is more commonly know as propaganda.

Professional Journalists are instructed to:

• “Act with integrity.”
• “Seek truth and report it.”
• “Minimize harm.”
• “Act independently.”
• “Be accountable and transparent.”

“Updated.” Praise YHWH!

As many of you can attest, this political season has been especially disturbing. Those true followers of YHWH have been vexed beyond measure. The informed and awake have been confronted with what had been suspected all along. The Scepter of Wickedness had taken up residence in the halls of American politics, and didn’t plan to abandon its post.

Thankfully, Wikileaks and Anonymous have revealed the sins of the elite political class to the people of the United States.  Due to occult activity, perversity in high places, we Americans have had to familiarize ourselves with a new term, “spirit cooking”. It is not just performance art, by the way. In our nations capital, occultism, pedophilia, as well as institutionalized graft and corruption have been revealed, and it appeared to be “business as usual”. We watched in horror as the various alphabet, national justice and security organizations folded like cheap suits, giving the impression that they had been manipulated, and most likely coerced. The news media had been functioning as a government propaganda machine. Freedom of the Press seemed to be an archaic idea. We needed our Savior to intervene. The corruption had become systemic. This is why the defeat of this Administration’s agenda has been so sweet. The voters spoke. They fasted and prayed. God heard.

Just so you know that you are not crazy, this post has, in fact, been changed. It has been updated to reflect my glee in discovering that the majority of Americans have not lost their minds after all, at least not yet. Never forget the last 8 years, the lies, the moral relativism, the false promises of socialism, government control of the media, and the like. Tonight is encouraging, but by the grace of God, and through prayer,  we must never allow such injustice to creep into our society again. Pray for our new President. May he walk worthy of his calling!

“A Woman Rides the Beast”

Now, I am not one of those freaky women, mind you. You know the type… God told me this and God told me that. Well, OK, maybe I am that person occasionally. Plus, I was raised Catholic, as one well-know comedian puts it, “Shia Catholic”. Thus, it is difficult for me to write about this subject, as many of my family remain strict adherents to that religion.  I believe however, that according to the Bible, each person is “born again”, or not “born again”, depending on their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We come to know Him through that relationship and through His Word.

In a nutshell, the Roman Catholic Church teaches that an individual’s relationship with Christ exists only, and is expressed only, through the Roman Catholic church and church tradition. This is manifested through continued participation in the “Sacraments”, and adherence to the Catechism. The Church has clarified that there can be no “cafeteria- style Catholics”, and professing Catholics must “tow the line” in regards to church doctrine. In contrast, Evangelicals and Pentecostals believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is what is necessary for salvation. The Protestant denominations used to rely on such a relationship, as well as revelations from the Holy Spirit, and all verified through the Word of God, which is the Bible. With the introduction of the -isms, which essentially are man-made doctrines, reliance on the Word of God has diminished somewhat within the various Protestant denominations, and is no longer “a given”.

Last Friday was the day that I heard the phrase. It wasn’t audible, but it was something that I heard in my spirit. “A Woman Rides the Beast”. Hmm, that was odd. What could that mean? Could it mean Hillary would win the upcoming presidential election? I wasn’t sure, but as revelations sometimes go, the message began to unfold according to God’s time, not human time. I did recall, that I once owned a book with that title. It was written by the late Dave Hunt, who I greatly admired. Although I’ve since lost the book due to a series of moves, I was able to rent the film version on Amazon, and watched it that evening. Dave Hunt speculated that the woman riding the beast most likely was the institution of the Roman Church. He cited the many instances of pedophilia which have come to light inside that particular institution. He also noted its clandestine influence over the nations, as well as the immense power and wealth that it enjoys, and employs. Mr. Hunt asserted that the Roman church will someday play a crucial role in establishing a one world religion. This religion will dovetail with a one world government. Clearly, Pope Francis, and his promotion of globalism is suspect.

Many, including me, are rather exuberant that Donald Trump won the election for President of the United States. We must understand though, that a shadow government does exist, as was verified by some of the e-mails released by Wikileaks. The puppet masters espouse a globalist ideology, and are Luciferian in nature. As of late, they have been quite successful in co-opting much of the misery in this world, and nudging us toward a one world governmental system. We always must be vigilant, as things may not be what they seem. We cannot place our trust in the U.S. government, nor any other earthly institution. We must pray that Donald Trump will be faithful to carry out his responsibilities as a President and a born-again Christian, and that there will be no globalist nonsense during his administration. Pray for his safety as well. The globalists will be persistent, cunning, and are not to be underestimated.

Remember that God has His timetable, and thus what is written will be fulfilled. That being said, I can’t help but conclude that we have been given some sort of reprieve for the time being. The fervent commitment to repentance and prayer practiced by the faithful prior to this election must not wane. This isn’t over… More later…

Woe Means Woe!

Take comfort in knowing that the word of YAHWEH is clear regarding those who would pervert justice. Isaiah 10:1 states, “Woe to those who decree iniquitous degrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression…”

The task of governing a nation, state, or city is serious, spiritual business. Many of our leaders do not comprehend the magnitude of such responsibilities. Perhaps we should remind them. Whether by blog, billboard, letter, or e-mail, it is past time for us to stand up and be counted.

Remember that intercession and wielding the “Sword of the Spirit” are both effective and formidable instruments for good! Please make a concerted effort to pray for those in authority. May they hear, receive, and legislate according to the Word of Truth, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Blessed is the nation whose God is YAHWEH! (Psalm 33:12)

Righteousness Exalts a Nation, but…

Transfixed…Yes, I must admit, I have been fascinated. Wikileaks. Project Veritas. Clinton e-mail scandal. FBI & the Comey Cover-up. If you are not familiar with these current events, it is time to seek out the truth from the “Alternative Media”. It is indeed sad to say, but most certainly you will not find the truth disseminated from the alphabet, mainstream news outlets. Thank the Lord for Julian Assange and Wikileaks! Corruption is revealed. Good. It’s about time. I am always hoping and praying that justice will prevail.

How is it that once appreciated and sought after virtues, such as justice and righteousness, are no longer of any value to many, maybe even to most? How is it that corruption at the highest levels would become so ho-hum to the American people? I would include church-y people in this as well. Ask yourselves the question, “How ever did we get here”?

I can’t resist telling you all that “Some things never change“. We are watching history repeat itself. Look to Israel & Judah throughout the Old Testament, nations which were both types, shadows, examples, as it were. We are watching such object lessons in “real time”. What happens to a nation that rejects its Savior, the God Who is the epitome of holiness, justice, and righteousness? This. This is what happens:

• child sacrifice-abortion
• corruption
• violence
• injustice
• ignorance
•  racial tensions
• strife
• child abuse
• men in women’s restrooms

Lest we forget, there indeed is something that stands firm forever, the Word of God. Church tradition, dispensational-ism, Calvinism, all the other-isms, and yet none can even hold a candle to God’s Word. The Bible is our guidebook, and our link to understanding the nature of our Creator. The Word is how we connect with Him and all His righteous attributes. Do not be deceived! Look to the Word of God, not politicians, corrupt judges, nor local hirelings, er.. I mean pastors, the compromised variety. Read the Word of God daily. Ask the Holy Spirit for understanding. You will receive it, but you may have to give up your preconceived notions of right and wrong. No… Actually, you will definitely have to give up your preconceived notions of right and wrong!

I will leave you with a rather timely Bible verse.”Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people“. Corruption and injustice should never, ever be acceptable to a “Believer”! “Examine yourself, to see whether you are in the faith.”If you identify with the Word made flesh, then you had better understand His nature. He is righteous! He is just! He “changes not.”

Just What the Doctor Ordered…

Fast? Yes!

Last night, I was listening to an alt-right, Christian internet newscast. The radio host recommended a fast today, in light of Donald Trump’s less than perfect second debate performance. He reminded his audience that prayer is imperative! I would agree. We must fast and pray ahead of tonight’s debate.

In my intercessory time this morning, I asked my FATHER how I should fast. Shortly after asking, I received an answer, but I had to search for the full answer. Somewhere in the Old Testament, I remembered reading that there is a fast that YHWH commands. After searching my handy, Strong’s Concordance, I found it. This section should most likely be one of my memory verses! It can be found in Isaiah 58.

“What is a yoke?”, you might ask. Strong’s, Hebrew #4133, Mowtah mentions a bent pole, generally attached to an oxen. Another couple of terms mentioned were “heavy”, staves & bands. According to one of my commentaries, the word yoke would generally indicate oppression & unrighteousness. Food for thought, but more on that later….

For context, I always recommend reading the entire chapter, and ask your FATHER for insight. As promised I will expound upon this subject a bit more in the future. In the mean time, please fast & pray for our country, as we are at a crossroads!
